The new year of 2010 starts off with a fiery, strongly authoritarian vibe. We are protected, stable, and supported ..so long as we toe the line and behave like good little sheep. Baaaaah? Our creative impulses and willpower are encouraged, and directed in a rather sinsiter way. As more and more fringe groups are hated on by the popular media it may dawn on you how this creativity and direction is channelled. It may not. Ask yourself what you, personally, have against single moms, the unemployed, immigrants and followers of Islam. Are you happy to allow such blatant manipulation of your thoughts, feelings and drive?

If you find safety in numbers.. in following the mob mentality.. then the mere mention of "sluts, welfare leeches, bums, illegals and extremists" will no doubt have you seeing red and by now you'll have mashed the back button repeatedly with your greasy sausagelike fingers ;)

Air sweeps in and polarizes everyone still further. For the open-minded, Air brings yet more clarity, knowledge and outspokenness. For those who we hopefully lost at the last paragraph, it brings even more insufferable righteousness and intolerance. They'll be ever more convinced of their own superiority.. the catch being that Air has nasty, sharp ways of bringing people back down to earth with a bump ;) Air brings the knowledge that your own thoughts create your experience.. it's your choice how painful that lesson is.

As to an actual psychic prediction? This depression/recession, whatever you want to call it, aint going anywhere, any time soon. It will continue to affect livelihoods and relationships. It will fuel an already widening divide between the haves and have-nots, and will be the cause of much friction in this coming year. Authority will clamp down harder on minor infractions, and how the individual views life will depend which side of the fence they empathise with.

Water changes personal paradigms, bringing "Death" to many facets of our lives. If you can find the positive in Air's frank message that we are all equal, then you'll deal easily with the endings brought by Water. Be adaptable, open in both mind and heart, and welcome the growth, adventure and new direction Death brings. January has the potential for trauma, or adventure.. it depends only on your perspective and attitude ;) Be a trickster and evade the stomp of The Powers That Be? Surrender your mind and integrity and be crushed underfoot? Tough choice..
