Now I have read your post of HS and Gods, deities and whatnots. All of your quoted material seems to be from "Lightworkers." I would like to see quotes perhaps from other religions or self-proclaimed believers. What experiences I have had....or shall I say is what I believe to be with my HS (I will not proclaim that it is or was, I willing apply an appropriate amount of skepticism as I like to question things a thousand times, and break them down into comprehensible bits, until I can only pull out undeniable, (at least to my self) facts from them.) But, to continue, if it was as I believe my HS I contacted first, it was female....as I am male. Second, it took the form more suited to a Demon then a Goddess, or Angel, lastly she wasn't preaching love thy neighbor, but nor did she press kill thy neighbor either, her "lessons" allowed me to if you will "Awaken" that in me which laid dormant, to further some of this would be long winded and complicated, also requiring a deeper understanding of who I am which, I of course being the trust few attitude do not wish to share in this post. I will let this lie as I learned alot, and her attitude wasn't to change me, change came as I grew to understand what I learned and placed it into application. I found more of who I was, what I believe and where I seemed best suited in life. Also she seemed to bring an interesting complicated question to my mind that I am still sorting through to better understand. I will have to say when meeting with my believed HS the atmosphere was "darker" if you will, but comforting and time spent with her was like time spent with a Best Friend or Lover.

(I apologize if this post seems choppy and slightly confusing, trying to bring forward a point without going into too much detail can be tough! LOL)

Love, is all I have to say. You never cease to amaze me. I could babble for ever about what you had to say, but I won't. I digress. I only love.

Hi there! I like your take on the higher self......."In my experience, the HS is just You ..albeit You unbound by Earthly dimensions. The HS: evolved You, who has mastered internal issues. Does it seem reasonable that this You would demand your obsequiousness? That they would be snobby and look down on you as a lesser being? That sure doesnt show mastery of anything!"

Same here, in my experience as well. I wrote an article about my experiences with connecting to my higher self on a few occasions (not trying to plug my stuff, just using it to show why I agree....) and it was exactly as you describe. Me, only, a higher evolved me that's mastered the primitive 3rd density instincts, ego, and all the rest that drags us down. And while it was emotionally unplugged from the issues that rile us up "down here" in the zoo, (due to higher awareness and expanded insight) it had nothing but empathy. In fact, I hate to say it but it downright felt sorry for me/its past self. !!! haha ;D Seriously. I played that part down in my article because I didn't want to seem like I was being a victim or something, or trying to get sympathy. But yeah, during the one and only time I seemed to "merge" with it spontaneously by accident, all I can say is wherever this thing lives, I want to be there. !! It was so *light* there, so expanded, and the personality was so mature, wise and empathetic. But not a fluffy rainbow unicorn like you were rightfully poking fun at. It's smart and aware. Just unencumbered. It's nice.

Regarding this idea: "I put forth the idea that on a dizzingly high level we are all part of a whole, yet within that whole we are unique ..the goal here isn’t oblivious union, people!" .....I think you would like the new blog called "Splinter in the Mind," by Bronte Baxter. It only just started in April, but what a blog it is. Several of the posts deal with her experiences practicing transcendental meditation....and exposing what a load of hooey it is, and a soul trap. I haven't practiced TM myself, but apparently one of the big philosophies of TM (and many new age practices in general) is to dissolve the ego, ie, disintegrate your individuality and melt into the one/whole/all that is. Etc. She talks about the way many TM practicers have these glazed over eyes, and passive fluffy personalities that have become shells of what they used to be. She's not the only one noting this though, and the way that many of these new age/meditation practices are actually designed to steer its practioners in the opposite, detrimental, direction. So yeah, your comment reminded me about that, and how on her blog she advocates the idea that our individuality is a precious gift.......it's what the creator source intended. Yes, we're all connected in the big scheme of things, but we've also been given the gift to experience life on our own terms, as a "separate" unit.

Anyway, this has gone on longer than I intended! ;D Great blog postings.......
