I've read all kinds of info including about all the world problems you mention in your post and came to the same conclusions. For some years now I just keep simplifying my life bit by bit and choosing what I really want in life ,it really helps a lot and people not on this path really shift out of your life , and it's oke ........ for me it's a better world already, I keep at it , I'm glad to see others do too :-) Great piece , and like carissa said good timing for a lot of people whom may be pondering about these issues too.

The timing of this entry is uncannily synchronistic. For a bit of time now, but especially today, I've been feeling overwhelmed by the state of negative corruption going on in the world. Especially for the reasons you mentioned: "It can be an even harder pill to swallow when we figure out that most of these problems were deliberately created to put more money, power and control in the hands of the few...." Exactly. This morning specifically what specifically triggered it again was the whole deal with the *IRS,* which fits that description perfectly. I'd received an email this morning from a friend who was forwarding an email appeal to help Sherry Peel Jackson, former IRS employee who is now in prison serving a four year term due to speaking out against the illegal nature of the IRS on the video "America: From Freedom to Fascism." When I researched her story on the 'net, getting further details of the injustice and a big reminder about the nature of "the beast," it just became SO frustrating. I was left wondering the exact same thing you noted here: "We ask ourselves — what can I do to make a difference? Should I take up activism? Give to charity? Research and expose deception?" Exactly. *What do we do?!?* I conferred with my boyfriend Tom about it all, since he's the perfect person to talk to about these things, and he had some feedback about it all, which helped. Then I had the urge to pop by your blog, see if there was anything new, and lo and behold......here's your entry. Amazing timing on it all. Thanks for writing this......... Wow!
