Since the Beyond Within Blog was founded, there are certain things I’ve debated whether I would ever post about; things that are neither “nice” nor “normal” by most standards. But upon further reflection, and talking to friends who are a bit more knowledgeable about the scope of this than I am, I’ve found that these issues are more common than most people realize or would like to think about — and those who struggle with them often don’t tend to talk about it, so good information is not always easy to come by. But I am of the philosophy that if I have information that someone could potentially use, I’m going to make it available regardless of any reservations I might have. I also take some joy in the fact that what was done to block my development is now being used to help others with similar problems further theirs.

Contrary to popular belief, the world of nonphysical entities is not all guardian angels and ascended masters. The universe is balance, and so there is a negative side as well. Between us, Gehenna and I have gained much experience and insight on psychic self defense, out of necessity. In particular, over the span of a few weeks, we discovered and dealt with a series of etheric implants that had been causing major problems for most of my life in many different ways. All things considered, the general theme was one of keeping me cut off from other people as well as the divine, keeping me unhappy and unhealthy, no matter what I did to improve myself. If you think this seems beyond belief you’re not alone — I wouldn’t have believed it either, and to be honest, still wish I didn’t have to. But after exhausting every personal development technique and health aid I could come up with to solve these problems… zeroing in on the true cause and eliminating them with much help from Gehenna, fixed the issues immediately, and resulted in a bigger positive change in my quality of life than anything I’ve ever done. You can’t really argue with results as far as I’m concerned… so here I stand.

One last note: I often tend to take a humorous and/or sarcastic approach to these things. This is NOT because I’m making light of the problem, or people who share it. Humor is one of my ways of dealing with difficult subjects, and is the best “weapon” I’ve found in the field of psychic self defense. It sure as hell beats being a victim, let me tell you! The other best weapon I’ve found is the knowledge in the book Practical Psychic Self-Defense by Robert Bruce. There are many simple yet practical countermeasures in this book that may have helped to prevent these problems if I’d known about them before it started, though these posts will contain lots of information that I have not seen in PPSD or anywhere else. The next several posts will be an extremely candid account of the circumstances where the problems originated, how the cause was discovered, what was done about it, the effects on my life both before and after, as well as what we’ve learned since then. It is my hope that anyone who truly needs this info will find it; though it is my greater wish that no one would be put in that position.

Before I begin the account, I realize they will use a lot of terminology that my readers may or may not be familiar with. I’m adding a short glossary of terms to this post, which should be referred to with any questions when reading the others. For the already metaphysically inclined: I realize some of these are pretty simplified. But I’m not running a course in advanced metaphysical theory; I’m just putting down enough info to make my next few posts understandable to everyone who might happen by. If there are any I haven’t covered here, hit me up and I’ll add ‘em.

Gehenna — The one who found all this crazy crap.

Neg — Short for “negative entity.” Any nonphysical entity that attacks humans, or feeds on human energy. These can range from “astral wildlife,” which are parasitic in nature but no more self aware than most animals, to beings who are intelligent, self aware and carry out attacks deliberately. I prefer not to use the term “demon”, both because of the religious connotations and the fact that I believe it gives them more credit than most of them are worth, and conjures up fear that is mostly unwarranted.

Astral — The range of nonphysical planes and environments.

Thoughtform — The phrase “thoughts become things” that is often brought up when the LOA is discussed, is literally true on the astral plane. Objects can be created here with imagination and focused thought. Whether they dissipate quickly when no longer being focused on, or retain their form, depends on the length and power of focus, as well as how they’re “programmed.”

Construct — Essentially another word for thoughtform, but one that is consciously and deliberately created.

Etheric — A type of energy. It is much less dense than physical matter, but dense enough that things formed out of it will retain that form.

Etheric Implant — An object formed from etheric energy designed to interfere with the functions of the human energy body. The effects can manifest as mental, emotional and even physical interference.

Energy Bouncing — A technique from Robert Bruce’s NEW that I use for finding blocks and exploring my energy body. This is done by placing your awareness inside, for instance, a leg, and bouncing back and forth quickly through it. If you encounter resistance and the bouncing slows or stops without serious mental effort, you’ve probably found a block.

Scan — Viewing the human energy body psychically in order to obtain information. “Viewing” does not necessarily mean this is done visually, though it can be, depending on the way the one doing the scanning naturally processes information.

Chakras — Human energy centers. There is some debate on how many primary chakras and their functions, but for the purpose of these posts I may be referring to the usual seven, and their generally agreed upon basic functions. When they are blocked or tampered with, we can have problems with those functions.

• Crown — One’s connection with the divine.

• Brow — The “third eye.” Responsible for dreams, visions, remote viewing, etc. Energy and
• info that is downloaded through the crown is processed and interpreted into something meaningful for the individual here.

• Throat — Communication, speaking your truth.
  Heart — Love, belonging, connection with others.

• Solar Plexus — Personal power and will.
• Navel — Emotions.
• Base — Security, survival issues.
